(Fall 2017) Course Description This course is a continuation of ADMF 120 – Industrial Electrical I (ADMF 120). The course builds on the knowledge acquired in the first year of the diploma program and introduces students to industrial electrical applications. Topics include: • basic circuit theory, including power and electromagnetic theory • DC circuits, including ammeter and voltmeter connections • AC circuits, including capacitors, resistors, transformers and induction motors • process control systems including PLCs • electric

This is an advanced course in industrial electrical theory. Students will learn to solve basic problems in power systems, including analysis of electric machines, transformers and reactive power. Students will also examine the safety aspects of industrial electrical installations. Prerequisite: ADMF 111 or equivalent.
Prerequisite: ADMF 111 or equivalent. Recommended: ADMF 222 or ADMF 222L or permission of instructor.
