– Course Description
This course provides students with an opportunity to understand the business and economic environment in which organizations operate, to critically analyze the role of entrepreneurs within an organization, and to develop the skills necessary to conduct research for entrepreneurial initiatives. The course provides a foundation for studying the topic of strategic innovation within an organization. Through discussion and written assignments, students will learn how to identify challenges that may impact a business and how these challenges can be addressed by strategic innovations.

The core of this course is a discussion on management challenges and opportunities that require entrepreneurial action. The course will cover the fundamentals of business models, strategic planning, innovation, value creation, and entrepreneurship in an academic setting. There is no pre-requisite for this course. This course can be taken for credit by any student without being required to have attended an initial manager education class on Entrepreneurship & Innovation.
