Shakespeare: Comedies, Romances, Poetry (ENGL 330) – This course explores the works of Shakespeare in their relation to the Elizabethan era, with a particular emphasis on comedy and romance. The course focuses on the plays themselves as well as the literary history of each play. Shakespearean dramas were considered the most sophisticated plays of their time, and are studied in depth within this course. By considering which comedies, romances, or histories Shakespeare wrote as
